Following months of ideation and refinement, all teams will present their solutions to judges with expertise in water science, technology and business at the virtual Semi-Final event on June 10, 2020. The Top 5 teams will be publicly announced the following day on June 11, 2020.
Solutions will be judged on the criteria found here.
Evaluation criteria for the Final will be provided to the Finalist Teams in Phase 2.
Throughout Phase 2, the Top 5 teams from Phase 1 will continue to refine their solutions with support from mentors and experts in business, technology, communications, and legal issues. Each of the Finalist teams will present their solution to a panel of judges at the AquaHacking Challenge Final on October 14, 2020.
Semi-Final: The top 5 teams will receive a $2,000 bursary to invest in their solution.
Final: In addition to a spot in a start-up incubator, the top 5 teams will also receive cash prizes:
1st prize: $20,000 CAD
